Now Accepting Applications: Rosenberg Martin Greenberg Opens 2022 Application Process for Second Cohort in its Building Black-Owned Business in Baltimore Program

On July 1st, Rosenberg Martin Greenberg (RMG) began accepting submissions for its second cohort in the Building Black-Owned Business in Baltimore Program (the “BBOBB Program”). Black business owners in the Baltimore Metro Area are encouraged to apply in order to receive complimentary legal services for one year. From the applicant pool, five businesses will be selected by RMG for participation in the BBOBB Program based on an internal assessment of each applicant’s responses, legal needs, and RMG’s available suite of services.

As a Baltimore-based business law firm, one way in which the attorneys and staff at RMG are uniquely suited to assist in addressing some of the drivers of economic disparity in Baltimore City’s Black community is by expanding access to legal representation for Black-owned businesses. To this end, in 2020, the RMG launched the BBOBB Program. RMG represented the first cohort of its BBOBB Program’s clients in the areas of strategic business planning, restructuring, long-term tax planning, contract drafting and negotiation, trademark matters, real estate and leasing, and employment matters.

“It’s been an honor to work with the first cohort of clients in this initiative. Our attorneys are passionate about this program and their direct efforts to help our society enhance economic opportunities for all,” said Caroline Hecker, Managing Partner, Rosenberg Martin Greenberg.
